Idea Generation Day: Computer Vision Edition

Objective:
Idea Generation Day is a day-long event focuses on fostering innovation and creative problem-solving within the realms of Computer Vision. No coding, just search of optimised solutions.
If you’re stuck with the challenge or have an idea you want to implement, bring it to the event to work on it with community members and tech mentors.
Who is it for:
- AI/DL Software Engineers with 2+ years of experience;
- ML researchers and professionals;
- Product managers in AI-focused companies.
To participate:
- Register;
- Check your email and find the link for the donation;
- Bring your laptop.
What to expect:
- Team formation: attendees will be grouped into diverse teams, ensuring a mix of skills and perspectives;
- Problem allocation: each team receives a randomly assigned problem related to CV via randomizer.
- Idea brainstorming session (3 hours): teams move to separate rooms equipped with brainstorming tools and resources to develop innovative solutions.
- Presentation and community feedback: teams present their ideas to the entire gathering, including experts in the field. This session allows for open feedback, suggestions, and collaborative refinement of ideas.
Mentors
Startup mentor, AI Consultant, Strategic Advisor for startup teams
- Vladyslav enjoys Data Science, AI & ML, Clouds, Business Process Management, and Project Management. He prefers combining the technical and managerial roles to learn and improve in both areas.
- As a technical specialist, Vladyslav has a solid background in Data Science, AI & ML, Cloud Architecture, Data Architecture, and BPM. As an AI Consultant, he is focused on data analysis and processing, anomaly detection, clustering, similarity analysis, risk analysis, predictive algorithms, etc.
- Business education and experience, combined with technological expertise, allow him to understand the broad scope of problems and find the most efficient solutions for them.
- PhD in Applied Mathematics. He teaches at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, at the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Cybernetics. He has more than 10 years of CV/ML/DL experience.
- Yaroslav worked at Samsung, Amazon and Svitla Systems on projects related to CV, NLP and embedded (OpenCL/ Optimization of Cuda, NPU, DSP).
- He specializes in the following areas: CV/ML/DL, generative models, 3D scene representation, segmentation and reconstruction, AR and VR, SLAM, NN optimization, optimization methods, tensor decomposition, Bayesian paradigm and modeling of complex physical processes.

How to participate?
Fill out the form and expect a confirmation via email within a week. It might end up in your spam folder, so please check there as well.

Is there a participation fee?
Yes and no. You must donate 500 UAH or more to the Reactive Post charity fund to join. The donation should be sent after we confirm your participation by email.

Can I participate remotely?
Unfortunately, no. For full interaction, you need to be present in Kyiv. Location has an air raid shelter.

Registration will be open from March 6th to March 21th.

The event will be conducted in Ukrainian.
